Tačiau visi planai akimirksniu sugriuvo po to, kai buvo pasiūlytas preliminarus filmo biudetas – 150 milijonų dolerių, o u savo aktoriaus paslaugas Willas Smithas usiprašė labai didelės sumos. Visgi jis tada buvo vienu iš geriausiai apmokamų Holivudo aktorių. Studija tiesiog nenorėjo taip rizikuoti, nes ankstesnis filmas, kurio biudetas be reklamos siekė 130 milijonų, atnešė kakiek nuostolių, usidirbdamas visame pasaulyje vos 273 milijonus dolerių. Laikas bėgo, kalbos tęsėsi, bet taip niekas nieko ir nedarė. Kol galiausiai, 2018 metais, studija „ Sony “ sugrįo prie šios idėjos įgyvendinimo ir nusprendė skirti 90 milijonų dolerių visai aliems bičams, kurie paadėjo sukurti bene geriausią serijos filmą. Ir, inot, jie nemelavo. Reisūriškai ir scenariškai – tai geriausia trilogijos dalis. Filmas turi kelias neblogas temas, kurias reisieriai įdomiai gvildena dvi rodymo valandas. Viena iš jų – šeimos vertybės ir garbingas senėjimas. Apie tai filme yra nemaai juokelių, todėl tenka priprast, kad net ir kakada jauni Markusas su Maiku pasiekia solidų amių ir jie apie tai reguliariai primena savo pokalbiuose. Kita tema – draugystė ir jos apraiškos. Man ši tema patiko labiausiai, nes būtent šiame trečiame filme vyrukų draugystė pateikiama ne tik itin dramatiškai, bet ir labai prasmingai. To, deja, nebuvo galima pasakyti apie pirmas dvi dalis, kuriose jie atrodė tik kaip porininkai, bet ne kaip artimi bičiuliai. Nes jeigu tu geri alų draugo baseine, nereiškia, kad tu esi labai didelis jo draugas. Tai vien tik ekspozicija, kuria turi patikėti iūrovas, bet tai neįvyksta. Čia yra visai kitokia situacija. Tu tiki jų ryšiu, kuris neapsiriboja vien jų darbo specifika. Humoro filme pilna. Jis kandus, jis juokingas, jis priverčia nuoširdiai jausti nostalgiją Markusui ir Maikiui. Tad šiuo atveju, filmo scenaristai pasidarbavo išties puikiai, nes visi juokeliai turėjo ir prasmės, ir jie buvo įterpti į rodomą kontekstą išties tvarkingai, o ne tam, kad tiesiog ekrane pasirodytų koks nors „bajeriukas“, nes to reikia. Be juokingos dalies, juosta gali pasigirti ir smagiu veiksmu, kurį papuošia brutalūs vaizdai. Nejuokauju, čia yra keli tokie epizodai, kad jie be problemų galėtų varytis ir su pačiais kruviniausiais siaubo trileriais. Vienu odiu, periūros metu liūdna ir nuobodu tikrai nebus. Kalbant apie Markuso ir Maiko personaus, tai jie kakiek evoliucionavo ir pasikeitė išoriškai, bet tai vis dar tokie patys kieti ir šmaikštus vyrai, kuriuos mes pamėgome 1995 metais pasirodiusioje pirmoje serijos dalyje. Kas nustebino, tai pagrindinis blogietis, kuris turi gerą motyvaciją, o jo veiksmai yra ganėtinai įdomiai pateikti. Tai ne stereotipinis pirmų filmų blogiukas, o ymiai rimtesnis priešas, su kuriuo geriau nejuokauti. Ir, kas be ko, mano nuomone, tai geriausias serijoje antagonistas. Antraplaniai personaai irgi pridėjo filmui avesio, nors savo charizma jie ir neprilygo pagrindiniam duetui. Pabaigai – tai išties malonus ir nostalgiją sukeliantis filmas, kuris jeigu kalbėti atvirai, savo reisūra ir istorija lenkia ankstesne dvi dalis, tačiau beprotybių ir absurdiškų sprogimų čia maiau, nes Michaelas Bay‘us yra Michael‘as Bay‘us. Jis vienintelis toks, kuris gali susprogdinti popieriaus lapą ir tai atrodys velniškai kietai. Juostoje galime išgisrsti Lil Jono, Pitbullo, Daddy Yankee, Ricko Rosso ir net Willo Smitho sūnaus Jadeno balsus. Na, o prie geros muzikos, pridedamas ir geras garso montaas, kuris paryškina kiekvieną grojamą gabalą. Vaizdo montaas taip pat nenuvilia. Flmo storija sudėliota labai tvarkingai ir neprailgtančiai, nors jo trukmė dvi valandos. Dėl to gaunama kino salėje pramoga yra dar malonesnė. Aktorių kolektyvinis darbas Sakoma, kad laikas yra negailestingas. Tačiau tik ne šiuo atveju, nes penkiasdešimtmetis Willas Smithas į kaulus duoda ne ką prasčiau nei perpus jaunesni vyrukai. O ir jo išvaizda beveik nepasikeitė nuo paskutinės „Pašėlusių vyrukų“ dalies pasirodymo kinuose. Tai toks pat valus, šmaikštus ir kietas bičas, kuris ukrečia savo pozityvia energija kiekvieną kartą jam pasirodius ekrane. Ir vien dėl to labai didelis jam ačiū. Utat ganėtinai pasikeitė Martinas Lawrence‘as, kurio nepagailėjo ne laikas, o pensija. Paskutinį kartą jis intensyviai dirbo 2014 metais, o po to tiesiog dingo iš ekranų ir tik 2019 metais sugrįo į didįjį kiną filme „Pajūrio šlaistūnas“, kuriame atliko epizodinį vaidmenį. Fiziškai pasikeitęs (sustambėjęs) jis visgi neprarado savo charizmos ir dar kartą meistriškai įkūnijo Markusą Bernetą. Galima teigti, jog čia yra geriausias pasirodymas visame filme. Abu aktoriai kaip ir anksčiau spinduliuoja avesiu, o jų tandemas turi tiek pat daug geros chemijos kaip ir prieš septyniolika metų, kai kinuose buvo rodoma antroji serijos dalis. Ir taip, jiems neprilygsta nei vienas kitas antraplanis aktorius. Kas dėl kitų filme pasirodiusių monių, tai ryškiausiai iš jų atrodė senbuvis Joe Pantoliano ir keli naujokai – Vanessa Hudgens, Alexanderis Ludwigas ir blogietį įkūnijęs Jacobas Scipio. Pastarasis tiesa suvaidino geriausią trilogijoje antagonistą, dėl ko jam atskiri komplimentai. Verdiktas „Pašėlę vyrukai amiams“ – neįtikėtinai geras ikoniško dueto sugrįimas į kino ekranus po ilgų septyniolikos metų nuo antrosios dalies pasirodymo. Filmas turi viską, dėl ko mes ir mėgstame pirmus du filmus – šmaikščiai kandų humorą, charizmatiškus aktorius ir ne ką maiau charizmatiškus jų įkūnytus herojus, dinamiškai susuktą istoriją ir daug pašėlusio veiksmo. January 26th, 2020 Bad Boys for Life will remain in first place on the weekend chart with an estimated 34. 0 million, which is down just 46% from the films opening weekend. This amazing hold not only beat predictions by a significant margin, it helped the film blow past 100 million yesterday. January 24th, 2020 The Gentlemen started its box office run with 725, 000 from Thursdays previews. This is not a great number, especially when compared to Bad Boys for Life s 6. 36 million in previews last week; however, this film has a more mature target audience and that should help its legs over the rest of the weekend. Im cautiously optimistic it will match our 12 million prediction with a little room to spare. January 23rd, 2020 It is a post-holiday weekend and the weekend before the Super Bowl. Needless to say, there are no prime releases coming out in theaters. The Gentlemen is the widest release of the week a should open in the top five, even if it doesnt compete for top spot. The Turning is a low-budget horror movie, and weve already had one of those struggle at the box office this year. Theres little hope this one will be better. Finally, theres The Last Full Measure, which is only opening nationwide, not even semi-wide. Its not even going to make the top ten, so we will talk about that film with the other limited releases. This leaves Bad Boys for Life as the only real contender for first place this weekend. The question is more about how far it falls from last weekend. As for this weekend last year, we were in a similar situation with the two new releases, The Kid Who Would Be King and Serenity, failing to make any real impact, leaving Glass in first place for the second weekend in a row. The Upside was the only other film to earn more than 10 million that weekend, while this weekend we will have four, perhaps even five films above 10 million. 2020 should walk away with an easy win. Bad Boys for Life easily won the race for top spot on the theater average chart. In fact, it was the only film in the 10, 000 club with an average of 16, 557. The best new limited release of the week was Weathering With You, which earned 5. 28 million, although that was over six days. It managed an average of 3, 716 in 486 theaters over the three-day weekend, which isnt enough to expand, but it is enough to encourage more theater owners to book Anime in the future. January 22nd, 2020 Bad Boys for Life took over top spot with 37. 50 million on 8, 945 screens in 54 international markets over the three-day weekend and 38. 96 million including previews and non-standard days, as Sony puts it. The films biggest market was arguably Germany where it earned 4. 71 million on 661 screens over the weekend for a total opening of 5. 14 million. The first long weekend of the year was fantastic at the box office as Bad Boys for Life set a number of box office records, including MLK Long Weekend Opening Record, which is arguably the most prestigious of the records it set. January 19th, 2020 The weekend estimates are a little more estimated than usual, because it is a long weekend, so studios are predicting Mondays results the day before they happen, and theres a larger margin of error than usual. That said, Bad Boys for Life is going to have no trouble topping the old MLK long weekend opening record, as it is projected to earn 59. 2 million / 68. 1 million over the weekend. Its three-day figure is almost 10 million more than the previous record holder, Ride Along, earned over three days. And yes, it has the opening weekend record. American Sniper was a December release that expanded wide on MLK weekend. On another positive note, the films reviews have risen to 76% positive, which is enough to earn a Certified Fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes, although the site appears to be slow on awarding that. Additionally, the film earned an A-rating from CinemaScore, so audiences liked the film even more than critics did. January 18th, 2020 Bad Boys for Life earned 23. 5 million on Friday, which is the biggest opening day in January, breaking the previous record of 17. 16 million set by Cloverfield back in 2008. It is also way more than anticipated, and puts it on pace to crush the opening weekend record for MLK weekend, and all of the associated records. In fact, Sony is projecting a 66 million four-day debut as a result of this start. There are reasons to be bullish, including the films solid reviews and its A-rating from CinemaScore. The film is already the biggest hit released in 2020 and if this is a sign of things to come, then we are in for a good year. January 17th, 2020 Bad Boys for Life had the best MLK weekend previews earning 6. 36 million on Thursday. Granted, best MLK weekend previews dont even make the top 50 all-time previews, but it is still a good sign going forward. Given the films reviews, this should translate into a record opening for MLK long weekend of over 50 million, maybe even 60 million. It depends on the films legs and how much the Sequel Effect shortens its legs. I remain cautiously optimistic about the films chances. January 16th, 2020 Its the first long weekend of the year and we have two films that are hoping to take advantage of MLK Day to get off to a fast start at the box office. Bad Boys for Life does have the advantage in terms of reviews and hype, not to mention a much more reasonable production budget. Dolittle is an early contender for worst movie of 2020. It also cost 175 million to make, so if it doesnt make at least 100 million domestically, then it is practically guaranteed to lose a ton of money for Universal. This weekend last year, Glass earned first place with 40 million over the three-day weekend. Ive seen some predictions that have Bad Boys for Life earning less than that over the four-day weekend, but Ive also seen some predictions that would top the 48-million MLK long weekend opening record. 2020 does have better depth, so the years short winning streak shouldnt come to an end just yet. January 1st, 2020 Its the year 2020, the year where we find out how many times you can say, “Well, hindsight is 20/20. ” before you get punched. On the positive side, while December wasnt a great month, it was good enough to help 2019 end on a positive note, a positive note that should continue into January. There are no real potential monster hits coming out this month, but there are three films that have a real shot at 100 million domestically. These are, in alphabetical order, 1917, which will rely on Awards Season to get to the century mark. Bad Boys for Life will have a much, much easier time getting to 100 million, assuming people still care about the franchise 17 years later. Finally, Dolittle is looking like a disaster with a really troubled production; however, a 100 million run isnt out of the question and if it can get there, it will at least save face. As for last January, Glass was the biggest hit of the month in terms of raw dollars, but The Upside was more impressive, as it is one the biggest hits in STX Entertainment s history. Who watch the movie and said I'm read for Bad Boys 4. I have seen Bad Boys Trilogy recently and watching them for the first time. So I can give non-bias nostalgic opinion. Here is my rank from Best to least. 1. Bad Boys 3 2. Bad Boys 2 3. Bad Boys 1 The 3rd is the best because it has better story and it got better relationship better the two co-stars Martin and Will characters. But it has predictable cliche moment for example the AMMO squad are the jokes and compliment to the team whenever they need. The Bad Boys 2 seems to be the benchmark. It has all the ingredients and all in the right places. But the story line a bit draggy and simple but entertained nonetheless. The First Bad Boys are retro cop flicks with attitude. Good things it change direction in the second installment but the story line is quite good with the help of Tea Leoni.
